India’s economic growth has seen a lot of new and exciting employment opportunities opening up for the new generation. Software, business process outsourcing , media & entertainment , consumer durables, automobiles and telecom are just some of the industries which are doing unprecedented career opportunities and incentives. In this scenario, the state needs policies that attract big industries and help them spread the advantages of economic prosperity. They must also get together with educational institutions to introduce appropriate industry- centric inputs at various levels which helps the students choose a better career. Efforts should be made to bring semi urban and rural areas into the industrial folder.. States must offer corporate houses extra incentives to set up plants and generate employment for the local population. As it will result in all round prosperity in the long run… Some of the parameters considered here are labour force participation rate (rural and urban)and unemployment rate (rural and urban)
