HEALTHCARE
Healthcare is a critical parameter of a nation’s overall well-being. While most states in India have several centres of healthcare excellence, they haven’t become a guiding force because of poor infrastructural facilities.
Every state needs to build a greater number of diagnostic and preventive care institutions to tackle lifestyle related diseases and disorders like hypertension, diabetes, clinical depression and cardiovascular malfunctions to name a few. The rural population also needs more and more committed doctors, nurses and healthcare workers who can bring the advantages of 21st century medical science to them and spread increased awareness about basic hygiene and cleanliness, adequate nutrition and steps to prevent and cure diseases like malaria, dengue, tuberculosis and hepatitis etc.
Some of the parameters considered here are infant mortality, life expectancy, and medical access.
