Second Edition of ‘IBN7 Diamond States Awards’ Announced
~Recognition for States on Human & Social Development Parameters~
New Delhi, August 27, 2009: IBN18 Network announces the second edition of the prestigious ‘IBN7 Diamond States Awards’- a path breaking editorial initiative in partnership with Outlook, for recognizing human and social development efforts by the states of India. The awards take an in-depth look on the work done by the states and their significant contribution in human and social development, in turn judging the states on parameters beyond economic growth.
Instituted in the Year 2008, ‘IBN7 Diamond States Awards’ has become a landmark event, recognizing meaningful development in socio-economic sphere and celebrating common man’s privilege. Last year the awards were well received by all and got an unprecedented response from people across various social strata. Pioneered by IBN7, India’s leading Hindi news channel, the awards strives to create a stronger and prosperous nation.

The independent Knowledge Partner, KPMG will manage the process, methodology and the data for arriving at the best states for the various categories. The selection process for ‘IBN7 Diamond States Awards’ will be a credible multi-pronged approach involving secondary data from authentic sources and primary data from a nation wide exercise conducted by Nielsen, the research partner for the awards. The award winners will be finalized based on the parameters set by the IBN18 Network Editorial Board, the Outlook Editorial Board and the Jury consisting of eminent citizens.
