Best Small State: Himachal Pradesh
On getting the Award, Prof. Prem Kumar Dhumal, Chief Minister Himachal Pradesh, said, “This is the 3rd edition of IBN7 Diamond State Awards and since its inception we have got awards in all three years. I take pride in accepting this award as owing to our sincere efforts to provide basic amenities to our citizens and hence leading to poverty reduction in our State."
Best Big State: Chhattisgarh
While receiving the award, Resident Commissioner of Chhattisgarh, Ms. Richa Sharma, said, "This recognition vindicates the policy & programs developed by our government for the weaker section of the society which has helped the State prosper."
Core Infrastructure:
Best Small State: Delhi
On being asked by Rajdeep Sardesai about Delhi’s progress, Smt. Sheila Dixit, Chief Minister of Delhi, aptly said, "You believe in what you see… And today the present state of Delhi is indeed unbelievable and a treat to the connoisseur’s eye and this is indeed success."
Best Big State Gujarat
On receiving the award, Mr. Bharat Lal, Resident Commissioner of Gujarat, said, "Our State is focusing on developing infrastructure and eliminating poverty. Going forward, we will adopt the same policies to reach great heights."
Citizen Security :
Best Small State: Sikkim
Mr. Arvind Kumar, Resident Commissioner of Sikkim, on receiving the award, said," This is our third consecutive recognition at IBN7 Diamond State Awards. The credit of this goes to the hard work of our honorable Chief Minster. Today, I can vouch that the way he has been working relentlessly for the State, will surely win us many more accolades on this platform."
Best Big State: Tamil Nadu
Enumerating while receiving the award, Thangam Thennarasu, Education Minster of Tamil said, "This is indeed a prestigious award given to our State by a reputed and credible channel – IBN7. On behalf of my State, I would like to invite you all to visit Chennai and enjoy a safe stay. The sense of security that our citizens possess is due to the hard work of our Chief Minister who strives hard to provide security and safety to its citizens."
Water and Sanitation:
Best Small State: Tripura
Principal Resident Commissioner, RK Vaish, said, "We are a very small State of North
India and being a hilly region it becomes difficult to arrange proper water and sanitation to our citizens. But owing to the work undertaken by our government, we have been successful in providing proper water and sanitation to our citizens, inspite of the roadblocks faced."
Best Big State: Tamil Nadu
Education Minster of Tamil, Thangam Thennarasu, said, "Inspite of being water stocked State, we have done well by adapting water supply schemes in rural and urban areas and this is indeed an achievement."
Health:
Best Small State: Goa
On being asked by Rajdeep Sardesai, about the secret of Goa for winning so many awards, Chief Minister of Goa, Digambar Kamat, aptly said, "Goa is celebrating its Golden Jubilee of liberalization and we firmly believe that health is wealth. If our citizens are not health that nothing is worth it."
Best Big State: Kerala
On receiving the award from Vice President of India, Shri Md. Hamid Ansari, Smt. P K Sreemathi, Health Minister of Kerala, said, "I am extremely happy to receive this award and would like to pay gratitude to IBN7 for recognizing our work."
Employment:
Best Small State: Mizoram
Vanhela Pachuau, Chief Secretary of Mizoram, while accepting the award humbly said, "I would like to thank IBN7 for this award. However, we do have unemployment problem but we sincerely thank government of India for solving our problem by providing advanced facilities which has helped our people to become more ambitious and think about their growth and State’s growth as well."
Education:
Best Small State: Himachal Pradesh
On receiving the award from Vice President of India, Shri M. Hamid Ansari, Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, Prof. Prem Kumar Dhumal, said, "I would like to thank the Army personnel of our State as they have contributed tremendously towards making our State literate. Owing to their and the government efforts to make the state illiteracy ridden, the dropout rate in today’s date is zero percent and even the handicapped people get education at their doorsteps."
Best Big State: Kerala
On being asked by Rajdeep Sardesai about who the State would like to credit the success for this achievement, Health Minister of Kerala, Ms. P K Sreemathi, aptly remarked, "Education has been Kerala’s forte due to the social and land reforms initiated by the first government in Kerala in 1957, since then we have been achieving 100% literacy."
Women Empowerment:
Best Small State: Nagaland
On receiving this award, Parliamentary Secretary, Sh. Benjamin Newmai, said, "I thank his Excellency, the Vice President of India, Rajdeep Sardesai, Ashutosh and all the eminent jury members for this award. I am honored to receive this award on behalf of our Chief Minister, under his dynamic leadership the sate of Nagaland has received this honor. Women in Nagaland are considered equal to men and are encouraged in all aspects of life – be it education, culture, medicine and even entrepreneurship. They have played a pivotal role in helping our community survive. We are still trying to empower our women and expect to receive the same award next year."
Best Big State: Tamil Nadu
On receiving the award from Vice President of India, Shri Md. Hamid Ansari, Education Minster of Tamil, Thangam Thennarasu, said, "All the awards that we are receiving today is because of our visionary Chief Minister and his constant efforts. We were the first state in India to have amended the Hindu women section act in order to empower our women with more rights and free them with the age old traditions."
